About the Festival
Cariwest 2007 will be held during August 10 - 12th in downtown Edmonton. From the opening
night of the Costume Extravaganza to the dazzling
Parade of masqueraders chipping to the rhythms
of soca and calypso, to the Saturday Night Fete,
to the open-air entertainment at the Churchill Square, it will be nights and days of an Edmonton steeped
with the soul and spirit of the Caribbean islands. Say goodbye
to the office, forget their daytimers, log off those computers
and come free yuhself up to do the moves - wine, jump-up,
dingolay, grind, whatever you wish, everyone will be aroused with the
colour, music and excitement of it all.
