Festival Program

It's Official! The 23rd Annual Cariwest Festival is underway! Presented by the Western Carnial Development Association (WCDA).

Tickets for all events will be available at the Cariwest Office or Tix on the Square.

Welcome to Cariwest 2007! Edmonton's Caribbean Arts Festival is back for the 23rd year. This year our theme is We Fête'n (We're celebrating)! Fête' in the Caribbean has come to mean partying, having a good time without inhibitions, displaying what the French call the 'joie de vivre'. In the Trinidad model, on which Cariwest is based, this specifically involves steel band music, calypso, and masqueraders dancing in the streets. This is what we mean when we proclaim 'We fête'n!' Once again we are extending an invitation to Caribbean friends and family, and all other fellow Canadians of this multicultural society in which we live, to come and celebrate with us!
